As a marketing company we are always looking for ways to reach both our customers and prospects. I was looking at a company that is doing some great things in the digital space and as I went to their site something popped up for me to receive push notifications from their website. At first I was taken back but I quickly realized that I stumbled on the next way to market your business. I might be wondering what is push notification? Push notifications let your application notify a user of new messages or events even when the user is not actively using your application. On Android devices, when a device receives a push notification, your application’s icon and a message appear in the status bar.

How is it used?  When you want to send a message to your customers, members, prospects you would send them a message.  I can be an ad, special, upcoming event and more. They must opt-in to get the notifications, so they are not spammed.
