Forget your past in business
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 NIV
Too often, we as small business owners relive past hurt and disappointments. Let it go, shake it off and move forward. You probably thought you were going to get that contract, but if you didn’t, you were not supposed to. Keep pressing ahead in truth and integrity, and everything will work out in your business.
As a Christian business owner, we have to operate our business as a reflection of Christ not like we were in the world. We can’t do shady business and say that we are Christian. So forgetting how we used to do business and press on as a person of faith who glorifies our Father who is in Heaven.
Thinking that you have to operate your business in the flesh like you may have before you gave your life to Christ. You may want to hold on to your past failures and not moving ahead to the bright future.
